I really need to apologize to all who read this. It has been June since I've written a blog post. JUNE! That is unbelievable. I say I want this site to be a resource. I say I want to add content to this site. Yet, it's been June since I've posted.
This is what distractions will do for you. This is what distractions have done for me. It stops you in your tracks.
Before I write more, I need to ask for forgiveness on three levels. I ask God for His forgiveness in my not being as diligent as I need to be. I need to forgive myself. If I'm not careful, I'll beat myself up for not being diligent. I want to ask forgiveness from you, my readers. For that, I also thank you. For those of you who feel you can't forgive, to you I say I'll try harder to be more diligent and not sidetracked as much by distractions.
I've been involved with some things regarding my ministry and business. These have been good things. Yet, those good things distracted me from writing. I was distracted because I'd lost focus and priority.
That's another thing distractions do for you. You'll lose focus. You'll lose priority because your clarity will be fogged up and you'll lose sight of it. Without clarity, you and I won't move forward. We'll stay stuck in mud. We won't move.
Without focus, we'll lose track of where we're trying to go and end up going nowhere. As a result, I've gone nowhere with this blog and this site. I lost focus trying to go somewhere and ended up not going anywhere.
Try to avoid this same pitfall, as I will in the coming weeks and months.
Thank you for your forgiveness. After all, without grace, distractions come.
