Where Is Your Mind?

Have you ever wondered or thought about why there is such a range of beliefs and  levels of maturity among Christians?  Why some Christians seem to hear God's voice so clearly, while others struggle just to find words to pray?

Have you ever wondered why there are times where you sense God's presence with you so strongly, while at other times, you wonder if He is even in the same universe as you?

Have you ever wondered why some Christians seem to grow so fast and have a deep relationship with God, while others seem to stay in the same plac for years?

If you have, don't feel like you're alone.  Most have wondered these things. I've wondered these things for years.  I've wondered about myself for years. Why there are times, I seem to grow so fast and sense a deep closeness to God, while at other times, I seem to have reached a plateau and don't seem to grow much at all.

Can you identify with this?  We probably all can.  It can be frustrating.  We can feel like we're not much of a Christian.  Then of course, you have the devil speaking his lies into your ears, trying to condemn you for your "failures" in your Christian walk.

But, you know what?  It's in your mind.  Yes, it's literally in your mind.  Now, wait a minute.  No one said you were crazy, going off the deep end or only imagining things  like that.  You're not any of those things.  It's all  literally in your mind.

There are three levels of thought/revelation we have leading to actions we take.   These are the carnal mind, the mind of Christ and our level of receiving revelation.

I'll be addressing these in future posts.  But, for now, just know it's all in your mind.

Distractions Stop You In Your Tracks

I really need to apologize to all who read this.  It has been June since I've written a blog post.  JUNE!  That is unbelievable.  I say I want this site to be  a resource.  I say I want to add content to this site.  Yet, it's been June since I've posted.

This is what distractions will do for you.  This is what distractions have done for me.  It stops you in your tracks.

Before I write more, I need to ask  for forgiveness on three levels.  I ask God for His forgiveness in my not being as diligent as I need to be.  I need to forgive myself.  If I'm not careful, I'll beat myself up for not being diligent.  I want to ask forgiveness from you, my readers.  For that, I also thank you.  For those of you who feel you can't forgive, to you I say I'll try harder to be more diligent and not sidetracked as much by distractions.

I've been involved with some things regarding my ministry and business.  These have been good things.  Yet, those good things distracted me from writing.  I was distracted because I'd lost focus and priority.

That's another thing distractions do for you.  You'll lose focus.  You'll lose priority because your clarity will be fogged  up and you'll lose sight of it.  Without clarity, you and I won't move forward.  We'll stay stuck in mud.  We won't move.

Without focus, we'll lose track of where we're trying to go and end up going nowhere.  As a result, I've gone nowhere with this blog and this site.  I lost focus trying to go somewhere and ended up not going anywhere.

Try to avoid this same pitfall, as I will in the coming weeks and months.

Thank you for your forgiveness.  After all, without grace, distractions come.

Are You Living In A Higher Dimension?

The disciples asked Him, "who then can be saved?".  Jesus then answered "with men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible".

In our lower dimension thinking which is often experienced even in the Christian realm, we look at circumstances, obstacles and impossibilities.  In the realm of higher dimension, axe heads float, walls of cities come down with a shout, the blind see, the lame walk, the dead are raised and salvation comes to those that appear to be a "lost cause".

Five areas can lead us to this higher dimension.  I'll be sharing more about these areas in future posts.

But, the five areas are faith, words, dreaming, thinking and heart.  How you live in those four areas will determine to what degree you experience life in the higher dimension.

During a Sunday morning service at the church I attended, when I lived in Maryland, we had a time where people could come to the front of the church for prayer.  They could pray themselves or they could have someone pray for them.

There was a woman praying.  I sensed God wanted me to pray for her.  As it turned out, it was a prophetic word for her. By  that  I mean, God spoke a message of encouragement to that woman through my prayer.  I had done this before and when I was finished, I would go back to my seat.

The woman had gone back up into the balcony with her family.  After the service was completed, a man motioned for me to wait.  He and his wife came down from the balcony to speak with me.  She said she wanted to thank me for being obedient, as she knew that word I'd spoken to her was from God and for her.

In all honesty, I didn't remember what I said, but she told me something that amazed me.  She said I called her by name.  We had never met.  I don't share this with you to put attention on what God did through me.  I mention it to illustrate that God wants us living in a higher dimension.

In Matthew 14:13-21, is the story of Jesus feeding the five thousand.   If you recall, the disciples told Jesus it was late and to send the thousands of people away, so they could go into villages and buy something to eat.  From this story we usually focus on Jesus feeding the multitudes.  But, there is one small part that is often overlooked.

Jesus' response was that the people didn't need to go away.  It's the next part that's amazing.  Jesus then said to His disciples "you give them something to eat".  "You give them something to eat".

Why would Jesus say that?  He was trying to lead the disciples into higher dimension thinking.  They had limited their thinking to the visible circumstances.  But, Jesus saw beyond the circumstances into a  higher dimension.

He was trying to lead them into faith through the higher dimension or Kingdom of God dimension.  He was leading them into that realm He talked about regarding it being easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
